What We Believe
The Bible
We believe the Bible, consisting of sixty-six books from Genesis to Revelation, is God’s divinely inspired, holy word and is our final authority for our faith and practice.
God the Father
We believe the God of the Bible is the one true God whose essence is Spirit. He is invisible, alive, and personal, not an impersonal spirit, mind, force, or cosmic mind. He is not dependent upon anyone or anything outside Himself. He is the eternal and self-existent One.
Jesus Christ
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal only begotten Son of God, the Logos, who was in the beginning with God and was and is God. He always has been and always will be the Son of God.
The Holy Spirit
We believe that God the Holy Spirit, too, is God in His essence and not an impersonal force. He is a Person who exhibits a personality, feelings, and will who indwells all who place their trust in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
The Trinity
We believe that there are three eternal, distinct Persons sharing ONE divine essence in the Godhead: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
Salvation
We believe every human being inherits a sin nature from Adam and is therefore a sinner by nature and choice, and rebels against God. It is only through the blood of Jesus Christ, the satisfactory payment, that man’s sins are forgiven when they trust Him as their personal Savior.
The Church
We believe the church is a called-out assembly, the Bride of Christ, responsible for preaching the gospel and making disciples. The church is to unite as one body and minister to the world in the name of Jesus Christ, in effect, doing whatever Jesus would do if He were here on earth.
